Our Library Makerspace hosts workshops in 3D design, sewing, electronics, video editing, knitting and much more. We invite all of our makers to be both teachers and learners, sharing their skills and expertise. We have piloted successful integrations with a variety of courses in partnership with faculty. Laurier makers are invited to drop by to chat, ask questions, show off projects and meet other creative makers. Our regular hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 11am and 1pm to 4:30pm. Join us! No experience required: just curiosity. We stay connected, meet up, teach and invent workshops. This is your makerspace. We are most interested in helping makers make the things they want to make. We’re always happy to welcome newcomers with project ideas, works-in-progress or prospective makers who are just curious to learn a new skill. Creative student volunteers from many different Laurier programs and groups animate the makerspace, supported by library staff member Darin White.
