Course Resources: Information for Students

Course Resource lists are integrated into My Learning Space and provide easy access to the resources required for your course.

New Course Resources platform

In Spring 2026, Laurier Library launched a new Course Resources platform. It is integrated into My Learning Space and provides easy access to course materials.

How to access Course Resources

  • Go into your course on My Learning Space
  • Click on the Course Resources tab in the top navigation menu
  • If there is a resource list for your course, you will see it.

Troubleshooting

I can't see a tab that says Course Resources in My Learning Space

If the menu in My Learning Space still says Course Reserves, then the link needs to be updated.

Please email libreserves@wlu.ca with the following information:

  • Course code
  • Section number
  • Instructor name
When I click on Course Resources in My Learning Space, I get a message that says, "the course resources feature has not been set up for this course" and a picture of a sad cat.

Not all courses have resource lists. If you would like us to check if there should be a list for your course, please email libreserves@wlu.ca with the following information:

  • Course code
  • Section number
  • Instructor name
When I click on Course Resources, I get a message that says unknown user and shows my personal email address instead of my Laurier one.

You may be experiencing this due to the preferred email address listed in LORIS being set to your personal email address, rather than your Laurier email address. This setting will need to be updated so that MyLearning Space recognizes your Laurier email correctly. To make this change, please contact ICT (support@mylaurier.ca ) as they will be able to assist you with updating your email settings.

When I click on Course Resources, I get a message that says, "unknown user please contact the library". I know other people in my class have been able to access the resource list.

There might be an issue with your library user account. Please email libreserves@wlu.ca with a description of this issue so that we can investigate.

The link to the item I need to read doesn't work and I just get an error message.
  • Click on the Mark as broken link
  • Describe the issue you are having. If possible, add a screenshot of the error message
  • We will investigate and let you know once the issue has been fixed
What does, "item is being processed and will be available soon" mean?

Some items take time to make available. This is usually because we need to get a copy from another library. We will make the item available as quickly as possible!
