New Course Resources Platform Now Available

New Course Resources platform now available
Starting with the spring 2026 semester, Laurier Library moved to a new Course Resources platform. This replaced the old Ares system that many of you are familiar with. The new platform is fully integrated with Omni (the library discovery system) for easy access to library materials.
Instructors can:
- Build course resource lists themselves or collaborate with others,
- Add any kind of content, including but not limited to physical books, eBooks, eBook chapters, scholarly articles, streaming videos, and newspaper articles.
- Structure lists with weekly, or topic-based sections,
- Easily roll over course resource lists from semester to semester and update as needed,
- Have resources checked for copyright compliance and accessibility by library staff.

Students can:
- Access course resources directly from My Learning Space in a new mobile-friendly interface,
- Save money in courses that use library-funded materials, open web content, and/or Open Educational Resources
