It was created as an online combination of two printĀ journals: Resources in EducationĀ (RIE) andĀ Current Index to Journals in EducationĀ (CIJE). Both journals provideĀ access to about 14,000 documents and more than 20,000 journal articles per year. In addition, this resource provides coverage of conferences, meetings, government documents, theses, dissertations, reports, audiovisual media, bibliographies, directories, books and monographs. It includes many full-text resources, includingĀ non-journal ERIC resources (known as "ED documents") going back to 1993.
